The next next Public Diplomacy Council/USC First Monday lunch forum takes place on Monday, 7 April at 12:00 pm, where Joyce Warner will tell about the U.S. Young African Leaders Initiative. Warner is Senior Vice President and Chief of Staff of IREX, an international not-for-profit organization working with local individuals and institutions to build key elements of a modern society.

IREX is helping implement the Washington Fellowship of the Young African Leaders Initiative, a U.S. government program. The fellowship aims to bring some 500 young leaders to the U.S. each year for academic coursework and leadership training, to help participants put new skills to practical use in leading organizations, communities, and countries.

The event takes place on Monday, 7 April at 12:00 pm at the offices of American Foreign Service Association, 2101 E Street NW, Washington DC (Foggy Bottom metro). Sandwiches and refreshments will be served.

The program is free, but advance registration is essential. Please RSVP to FirstMondayForum [dot] RSVP [at] gmail [dot] com.
